Full repaints of lap siding, stucco, fascia, and trim — washed, prepped, and coated for an even, long-lasting finish.
Built to hold its color and protect the wood and stucco beneath it — through high-desert sun and a full Sierra winter.
Northern Nevada asks a lot of an exterior. High-desert sun fades cheap paint; Sierra winters drive snow, ice, and freeze-thaw into every seam. A great exterior repaint isn't about the color you see on day one — it's about how that color, and the wood and stucco beneath it, look five winters from now. We paint for the long haul, and for the view it frames.
That long-term thinking shapes every choice we make, from the products we spec to the days we choose to work. The result is an exterior finish worthy of the home you've built — and one that keeps protecting it season after season.
Homes in Reno and Sparks and across Carson City and Dayton sit at altitude in dry, high-UV high desert. That intense ultraviolet light breaks down paint binders and bleaches color faster than at lower elevations — south- and west-facing walls take the worst of it. We specify UV-resistant, fade-stable coatings and the right sheen so the finish keeps its depth and color for years longer.
Homes around Tahoe's Nevada-side communities and throughout the Carson Valley face snow load, ice, and the freeze-thaw cycle that lifts and cracks inferior coatings. We use flexible, moisture-managing systems and seal end-grain and seams so water has nowhere to work its way in. Done right, the wood and stucco beneath the paint stay protected through every thaw.
There's no single coating that's right for every wall. We match the system to elevation and exposure — the hard UV on south and west faces, the wind off the lakefront, the slow-drying shade on north walls. For more on why timing and the right coatings matter here, read our Sierra-winter blog post.

Natural wood needs more than color. For log-home exteriors and cedar siding, see our wood, log & cedar homes staining and sealing work.
The details that make a facade. Front doors, shutters, and accent features finished crisply to lift the whole exterior.
Scraping, sanding, rot and stucco repair, caulking, and priming — the unseen work that decides how long a repaint lasts.
The paint gets the credit, but the prep does the work. We start by washing the exterior clean of dust, chalk, and grime and letting it dry fully. Then we scrape and sand failing finish, repair wood rot and damaged stucco, and caulk gaps and seams so water and air can't get behind the coating.
With surfaces sound and sealed, we prime where needed and apply two finish coats — always within the temperature window the coating needs to cure properly. As a general industry guideline, exterior work goes on best in the warmer months, typically late spring through early fall and when surface temperatures stay above roughly 50°F, with no snow or freeze risk. Because Nevada's shoulder seasons are short, we schedule around weather windows so every coat has the conditions it needs to last.
From a Carson City base, we paint exteriors throughout Northern Nevada and the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe — one standard of prep and finish on every home.
We repaint homes across Reno and Sparks, where high-desert UV and dry wind set the agenda for product choice. In Carson City and Dayton we work close to home, with the same obsessive prep on every job. Out in the Carson Valley we serve Minden, Gardnerville, and Genoa, and up at the lake we paint the Nevada-side Tahoe towns — Incline Village, Crystal Bay, Zephyr Cove, Stateline, and Glenbrook — where snow and freeze-thaw demand a flexible, sealed system.
A system that resists freeze-thaw cracking and manages moisture — flexible, high-grade acrylic coatings over properly prepped, sealed surfaces. Around Tahoe and the Carson Valley we spec for snow, ice, and big temperature swings. Prep and sealing matter as much as the paint.
Intense high-desert UV at altitude breaks down paint binders and fades color faster than at lower elevations, especially on south- and west-facing walls. We use UV-resistant, fade-stable coatings and the right sheen so your exterior holds its color for years longer.
Cost depends on home size, siding type, the amount of prep and rot repair, and color count. Thorough prep adds cost but is what makes a repaint last. We provide a written, itemized quote after a site visit.
Generally the warmer months, when temperatures stay within the paint's cure window and there's no snow or freeze risk. Our shoulder seasons are short, so we schedule exterior projects around weather windows to ensure a proper, lasting cure.
